BIO: Dr. Susan Lee has offices in Palm Beach, Florida. She has been active in the community for fourteen years.

Dr. Susan Lee is a Florida Board Certified Sex Therapist. She received her Doctoral Degree from The Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, San Francisco, California.

She practiced in Manhattan for fourteen years.  Dr. Susan Lee completed two Fellowships in Human Sexual Dysfunction, including Cornell Medical School, and Long Island Jewish -Hillside Medical Center.

Susan Lee is the Executive Director and Owner of The Florida Postgraduate Sex Therapy Training Institute, Palm Beach, and a continuing education provider of sex therapist certification for the State of Florida. She has certified Florida Sex Therapists through this Institute for fourteen years, with this comprehensive 120 hour program including 20 hours of sex therapy case supervision.

She maintains a private practice in Palm Beach, Florida where a majority of her cases are marital and sexual relationship problems.

Dr. Lee has conducted FDA Sexual medicine research for Pfizer and Pharmacia, and was chosen to be a research reviewer for Pfizer. Dr. Lee was selected to be a consultant for the Proctor & Gamble Female Sexual Function Board.

Dr. Lee has lectured at numerous conferences. She has consulted with physicians in sexual health and medicine practice.

She has certified sixty students in Hong Kong, China in 2004 and 2006, and has been invited back to Hong Kong in 2008 to provide a sex therapy certification training course along with the Hong Kong Association of Sex Therapists. She has been published in national magazines, and has appeared regularly on NBC television as a commentator on mental health.

Dr. Lee is a Certified Diplomat Sex Therapist for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), is a Certified Sex Therapist Supervisor of AASECT, and is a Provider of Continuing Education for AASECT.

She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), The Palm Beach County Medical Society, and has spoken for programs at the Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County.


GUEST FACULTY

Sexologists and Physicians are part of the esteemed faculty of educators at the Institute.

MARILYN VOLKER, ED.D., is a consultant and clinical sexologist, host of "Sex With Marilyn, on XM satellite radio. She is a sexuality educator for the past twenty-eight (28) years, is a diplomate of the American Board of Sexology and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists. She is on the faculty of the University of Miami, Barry, St. Thomas and Lynn Universities. She teaches medical, nursing and counseling students about sexuality and HIV/AIDS issues. 

Dr. Volker teaches classes about sexuality in recovery for the University of Miami's Center for Addiction Studies and Education (CASE), the Addiction Training Institute (ATI), and the Florida Alcohol and Drug Association (FADA). Dr. Volker has served as sexuality consultant for a variety of addiction treatment facilities and has written many articles for publications addressing sexuality issues in recovery.

Richard Seigel, MS, LMHC, CAP, CST,  is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor , Certified addictions professional, Certified sex therapist. He is a sex therapist in private practice at The Advanced Urology Associates of Florida, Vero Beach. He teaches at Palm Beach County Community College, and has a rich experiential background. He has conducted continuing education seminars throughout the USA.

 


This course is approved for 150 CE Credits by the Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy & Mental Health Counseling, Also approved by the Florida Board of Psychology, Division of Medical Quality Assurance, Department of Health, State of Florida.
