LEARNER OBJECTIVES
Upon Completion of this course,
participants will be able to:
1. Recognize the major
bio-psycho-social forces that shape sexual functioning.
2. Specify counseling techniques and interventions in normal and abusive
sexual relationships.
3. Specify ways to encourage loving relationships between partners.
4. Learn basic sexual rights and ethics.
5. Differentiate between the physical and psychological causes of sexual
dysfunctions.
6. Assess the impact of disease, medication & drugs on sexual
functioning and relationships.
7. Become aware of current research in clinical sexology.
8. Understand sexual health issues.
9. Present a full sex therapy case study.

The 12 classes in the
program are 5 CE hours each.
Classes will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

As part of the training, Dr. Susan Lee
will provide ten (10) hours of CLINICAL CASE SUPERVISION.
Presenter:
Susan Lee, Ed.D.,CST, LCSW, ACSW is an accomplished Florida licensed
social worker and sex therapist in private practice in Palm Beach,
Florida. She has conducted continuing education courses for fifteen years.
She was granted a Doctoral Degree in Education by The Institute for the
Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, San Francisco, California in 2002.
Dr. Lee is certified as a sex therapist, having completed a three-year
fellowship and supervisory seminar in human sexuality at Cornell Medical
College, New York, under the directorship of Helen Singer Kaplan; and was
awarded a Postgraduate Certification in Human Sexual Dysfunction at Long
Island Jewish Hillside Medical
Center, New York.
She has been active for fifteen years as an educator, lecturer and
consultant and appears on television and I national publications. Dr. Lee
was honored to present a sex therapy certification course in Hong Kong,
China in 2004, 2006,and 2008. Susan Lee is an Association of Sex
Therapists and Educators (ASSECT) Certified Diplomate of Sex Therapy,
AASECT Certified Supervisor and Certified continuing education provider.
She is a member of the Association of Certified Social Workers, The
International Society for Women’s Sexual Health, The National
Association of Social Workers, and The Society for Sex Therapy and
Research.
